Projects and Activities
TARGET
ELITE IS PLACED INSIDE THE TOPIC "POST CRISIS LESSON LEARNED EXERCISE" AND ITS PURPOSE IS TO STRENGTHEN, AT EUROPEAN LEVEL, THE PREPARATION TO THE EMERGENCY THROUGH SHARING THE ANALYSIS, AND EVALUATION OF THE CATEGORISATION OF THE CASE STUDIES WHICH ARE DERIVED FROM THE MAIN DISASTERS THAT HIT THE PARTICIPATING STATES.
Anci Umbria is one of the project partners ELITE (Elicit to Learn Lessons Crucial Post-Crisis), funded by the European Commission within the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/2007-2013 - Grant Agreement n ° 312 497) which has as responsible for the management as well as the leader of the project, the University of Navarra (Spain) through TECNUN "School of Engineering of San Sebastian."
THE OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT ARE:
1. establish a "Community of Practise";
2. create a dynamic document, tested and validated;
3. constantly implement the documentation created;
4. define rules and patterns to analyze heterogeneous case studies ;
5. disseminate the results and making them available.
One of the final products of the project will be a database of best practices, developed and supported through applications and web solutions that will make it easily accessible.
The model will be back to that of "Wikipedia" in order to attract and serve the entire spectrum of end-users and decision-makers in the field of critical events management in Europe.
the European bodies, public and private, who have already given their full support to the project through the subscription of the letter of interest and who will participate in 4 workshops which will be held in Germany, Austria and Spain, are twenty-seven.

Project ELITE Elicit Crucial to Learn Post-Crisis Lessons

IT INTENDS TO REDUCE TRAFFIC CONDITIONS IN ORDER TO SHAPE THE FLOW VEHICLE AVOID CONGESTION THROUGH A HOMOGENEOUS DISTRIBUTION OF VEHICLES BETWEEN THE VARIOUS ALTERNATIVE ROUTES.
At present many of the systems used collect traffic's data and increased congestion of road systems, but none of them is able to prevent the formation of traffic jams. This is mainly due to the fact that these systems use algorithms which induce solutions with alternative routes that lead, often, at new jams.
Traffic Shaper will produce a back-end system capable of analyzing traffic data and return real-time solutions. Thanks to a reporting and management of alerts dedicated the users will be informed in real time of the reasons and route changes recommended.
A specific channel will be reserved for civil defense purposes to redirect the traffic flow in the event of natural and anthropic that undermines the system thus also facilitating the work of emergency workers.
Objectives of the project:
reduce the environmental impact resulting from the increase of traffic;
improve passenger safety by reducing the possibility of accidents;
support the work of the institutions of civil protection in the event of emergency management.
